Field Sketching.

Sketches of wild flowers from the outskirts of Barcelona, catching the spring sun rays. I had the pleasure, whilst sketching, to see a longhorn moth (below), which I made a few attempts to sketch, but it resulted too small and swift to capture, so here is a photo of one from wikipedia.

Sketchbook, 'desert'.

A couple of desert themed spreads from my sketchbook.

An episode of The Tribal Eye, from 1975, concerning the practices of the Qashqa'i Nomads of Iran and the ancient art of carpet-making in Persia. written and presented by David Attenborough.

This final image is not in fact desert themed, but is from a more of a tropical place on earth; a sketch of a pre-Columbian (Teotihuacan, 200-60ad) incense burner.
